Airport Transfers: Glasgow Airport is about a 20 minutes drive by car/taxi or 30minutes by bus. The airport shuttle bus stops at Queen Street train station which is about 10 minutes walk from the flat and costs about £6 one-way. A pre-booked taxi from the airport will cost between £15 – £20.
Train and Bus Stations: Glasgow Central and Queen Street train stations are within walking distance of the apartment, as is the main bus station for Glasgow (Buchanan Street). In addition, the subway (underground) system is easy and simple to use to navigate across the City and both Buchanan Street and St. Enoch subway stations are easily reached to and from the apartment on foot.
For visitors to Commonwealth Games events, all venues are easily reached from these train stations or the local bus station.
- The nearby train stations are also excellent for travel to Edinburgh and further afield.

Taxis are also remarkably affordable, and arrive very quickly thanks to a central telephone booking system. Just call (phone number hidden). They can also be booked in advance for airport or train departures. A taxi stand is also located nearby to the apartment building.
The M8 motorway can be accessed very easily. Street car parking is difficult (and can be very costly!) in the City Centre. However, there are a number of car parking areas close to the apartment (see below for details) or if you are interested in hiring a car for a day or short period of time (hours), then the City Car Club, which has a number of pick-up and drop off locations might be of interest to you. The nearest one to the apartment is 0.16miles away on Ingram Street.

A 24hour, 1170 space car park, sited within the Collegelands Development at Duke Street / High Street.
Prices: 0-3 hours £1.40 per hour, £2.40 per hour thereafter. Overnight 6pm – 8am £1.50, Sunday 8am – 6pm £2.50
The height restriction is 2.2m. Height restriction signs are located at the entrance of the car park.

If you fancy something for active and easy to manage, then hiring a bike might be for you. Nextbikes is a cycle hire scheme which has recently come to Glasgow. There are 400 bikes available for hire at 31 locations across Glasgow.
Bike hire is on a membership or casual basis. Casual hire costs £1 per half hour capped at £10 for up to 24 hours.Each bike has a four-digit code chain lock, a saddle with a theft protection device and GPS fitted to assist in locating any stolen cycles. Annual membership costs £60 with hire free for the first 30 minutes and £1 an hour capped at £5 for up to 24 hours. Customers are able to register online as a member or as a casual, or by telephone.
